He comes up with the neatest questions....like
"Does God still love the Devil? He created everything, so God must still love the Devil if he created hell for him, right? He gave him a place to live..."

Yes, it took me a minute before I could answer that one.

Or how about
"Wow, God created the sky before there was earth?"
We have been reading in Genesis in the mornings while he eats his cereal. A little Mommy-Walter-God time.

He seems fascinated by things unseen- the body, the way it works and tiny things like yeast and what it does
I think much of that has to do with "The Magic Schoolbus" now back on TV (The Discovery Channel)

What this boils down to is that I am enjoying my son. I enjoy our conversations, I enjoy his laughter.
I enjoy his love for outdoors. I enjoy his love for his family, including his sister.

He is such a little man after God's own heart and I'm excited to see what God has in store for him.

This year he has done quite a bit of camping with Jeff.
They went camping with Uncle Brad and did Mammoth Cave in KY.
A "guys trip" around the time of school starting up again. We will be making this a yearly tradition.
He went camping on a Father-Son camping trip with our church.
We also went camping with our friends the Lobleys and
it was unreasonably cold for October in Columbus, Georgia....but he never complained.
