Second and Third Day at Sea

Second day
and it seems that all you do is go from one meal to the next. Great food and it would be a great shame not to participate. We’ll be getting up early and walking lots when we get back from this cruise to shed the pounds we’ve gained. Last night was the formal dinner night and we had superb selections like prime rib, lobster, salmon and the like. Appetizers were shrimp, mushrooms in a special sauce, and other delectable treats. Our bottle of Brut was served at dinner and we are still very appreciative of the kind thought our kids gave us for this adventure.

After dinner we attended the stage show in the lounge/theater and it was excellent. They did a routine on the 60’s rock and roll songs. Go figure they knew what would please most of this crowd. (Old farts)

As you could tell from yesterday’s e-mail I bought the 60 minute wireless package and had fun seeing what the ships connection could do. It seems that uploading large files like multiple pictures was too much for the connection, thus only one picture and the Word document could be sent at a time. Connection is fast, it just bogs down with multiple loads.

Grand Cayman was nice. We chose a snorkeling tour where we saw many colorful fish. The guide threw bread into the water where we were and the fish swan right by you to get to the food. We bought a disposable under water camera and took some wonderful pictures of the reef and the fish. Hope the pictures turn out. The water in the Caribbean sure is blue, and it certainly is breathtaking at times. We couldn’t actually dock in Grand Cayman and had to take tenders from the ship to shore. There were two other cruise ships there at the same time. The Imagination was a ship from Carnival Lines and the other a Royal Dutch Caribbean ship. Place was jumping and I’m sure lots of tourist money being spent.

Got back aboard in time for a great lunch in the Mardi Gras dining room. It is the second of two formal dining rooms. Diner tonight is not as formal, but there is a Margarita festival until 9:00 and it may be time to party since the drinks are at a special price.
