What I have done for this game is go to a parent teacher type store and get foam dice.
They have dots on them and for the younger ones, I write the numbers on the sides of the die in permanent marker.

I have written numbers on large puzzle piece foam pads, but you can do it on smooth concrete as well.
The kids take turn rolling the die and we all call out the number and race to the number.
They really get into it when I spread the foam pads out and they have to run to the number.

Then after about 5-10 minutes, I switch the numbers around, and they have to think about where they are located.
